TEDxKidsAsoRock

TEDxkids@Asorock will be held in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria, on the 27th of May 2013 being a Children’s Day in Nigeria.   The theme of our TEDx event is Precept, Purpose & Power.  The date chosen for this noble event is strategic and the event being hosted in the capital territory will ignite a light in every Nigerian child and send a message to child educators, education policy makers and parents that its time the voice of every child is recognised, heard and taken seriously. Our audience will consist of kids, teenagers, teachers, policy makers and parents.

The aim is to let every child understand that with a seed of idea seated somewhere in his heart, that he has the power to nurture that idea to greatness without fear of failing.”Ideas rule the World”and there are at least seven ideas lying dormant in every child’s mind, waiting to be ignited.  It will also serve as an eye opener to child educators, policy makers and parents to take up the responsibility of being  a role model that children will love to  emulate. It’s the responsibility of every reasonable adult to guide and help every child unleash the power that is in him…… Yes, the power to innovate, inspire, create to make the world a better place.

Our speakers will bring in principles,  creativity, purpose, energy with real stories that will inspire the audience to make a change and colour their world beautiful.

TEDxKids@Asorock is a TED-like event locally organised in the same spirit of “ideas worth spreading”, devoted to leveraging the powers of ideas to change the world. The events are always cross-disciplinary, focused on sharing ideas and inspiration to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. TED and TEDx cover a range of topics, from Technology, Entertainment to Science, Business and Global Issues.
